Health First
We invest in our health, in our ingredients, and our time to create a delicious meal, why ruin it with harmful chemicals? You deserve better than plastic and cheap wooden kitchenware.

Ditch Plastic Boards
When cooking with plastic cutting boards and utensils, we release microplastics into our food which is damaging to our health when consumed.
Plastic boards are damaging to knives, causing micro-abrasion on knife edges, leading to dull blades over time. Unlike wood, which has natural antimicrobial properties, plastic cutting boards develop deep knife grooves that trap moisture, food particles, and bacteria.
Unlike hardwood cutting boards, which are biodegradable and long-lasting, plastic boards contribute to landfill waste and take centuries to break down, making them a poor choice for sustainability.

Avoid Bamboo Boards
Bamboo is a type of grass, not wood, requiring excessive amounts of glue to create cutting boards. Many lower-quality bamboo boards contain adhesives that may not be food-safe. These adhesives break down over time and are released into our food.
Bamboo is highly porous and absorbs moisture, leading to swelling and bacteria growth. Bamboo is prone to splintering and cracking, allowing for bacteria buildup.
Bamboo is damaging to your knives as it’s high silica content dulls knives quicker than hardwoods.
The Better Choice?
Hardwoods like walnut, cherry, maple, and olivewood. These are naturally anti-bacterial, food-safe, knife-friendly, beautiful, and will last for years to come.
Walnut
Sourced from the forests of Western Canada, walnut is renowned for its beautiful and rich brown colour tones. It hides stains and knife marks well due to its dark colour. Being the least dense of our hardwoods, it is the most knife-friendly option.
Best for: Aesthetic appeal and knife friendliness. Perfect for modern and minimalist kitchens.
Cherry
Harvested from the forests of Quebec, cherry wood has beautiful reddish tones that darken and age gracefully over time. It’s denser than walnut but less than maple, making it smooth, knife-friendly, and durable.
Best for: Well-rounded blend of beauty, durability, and ease-of-maintenance. Perfect for rustic and country appeal.
Maple
Sourced from Quebec’s maple trees, maple has a creamy whitish-yellow hue to it. Denser than walnut and maple, it is extremely smooth, low maintenance, and offers excellent durability and hygiene.
Best for: Professional kitchens and heavy use due to its durability, low maintenance, and hygiene.
Olivewood
Handcrafted from Mediterean olive trees that are no longer fruit-bearing, olivewood is prized for it’s beautiful colours, unique grain patterns, and anti-bacterial properties.
Olivewood’s extreme density and closed grain structure gives it a silky-smooth finish and makes it resistant to stains and odours.
Best for: Charcuterie boards, utensils, coasters, display pieces, and aesthetic appeal.
Safe, Beautiful & Built to Last
You shouldn’t have to worry about microplastics or bacteria growth. Add a natural, sustainable, and welcoming piece to your home that will last for years to come.
